Join Alliance Against Displacement for our first ever Revolutionary Film Night on Friday, June 8 at 7:00 PM. We’re screening Raoul Peck’s award-winning documentary, I Am Not Your Negro, which is based on an unfinished James Baldwin manuscript and features rare archival footage the 1950s and 1960s.

LOCATION

This event is taking place on the unceded territory of the Stó:lō, Kwantlen, Qayqayt, Katzie, Kwikwetlem, Semiahmoo, Tsleil-Waututh, and Tsawwassen nations. Our address is 10679 King George Boulevard, in Surrey. Look for the southwest corner unit surrounded by an ugly black gate (which we hope to remove asap), across from Alebi African Cuisine.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

  • Entrance by donation
  • Free parking outside the venue
  • Onsite childcare available
  • Snacks served

Unfortunately our bathroom does not have enough clearance for a scooter or wheelchair. We need to measure the width of the entrance in order to determine whether or not a scooter or wheelchair can fit through (we’ll update our Facebook event page with this information tomorrow). If you have any accessibility-related questions or concerns, please email us at organize@stopdisplacement.
