Bread, Roses & Hormones (BRH) is a campaign led by trans women and non-binary people in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Our guiding organizing principle is to bring trans people out of social isolation through political organization. Our goal is to develop BRH into an autonomous network of revolutionary anti-colonial and socialist trans liberationists, that is rooted in the everyday struggles of poor Indigenous and working class communities.
Currently we are working on identifying the political priorities of poor trans people and connecting them to BRH through our “Trans Power is Built in the Streets” survey and regular outreach. BRH meets weekly to discuss and strategize political activity and agitation in response to constant attacks on our siblings and communities.
